How to avoid re-install of SRM?

Folks,

Those who have done SRM know can occasionally "break" in unpleasant ways. Sometimes it's a simple cleanup but sometimes SRM breaks in ways that force a complete reinstall (ugh!) which is why I'll use snapshots to revert to a clean installation that hasnt yet been configiured. The only issue is that for this strategy to truly work you have to snapshot SRM, Vcenter and the SQL system all at the same time and across both sites. It's not that hard in lab environments but it gets a little trickier in other places where a shared SQL system is being used.

I have one of these environments coming up. The storage vendor doesnt have the most mature SRA and the implementation is using a shared back end database meaning things are probably going to go bump and it's going to be impossible to use snapshots as my safety net. Access is heavily controlled and I won't have the SA password either.

Does anyone know a quick way to clear out the SRM database and revert to a "clean" state using the srm db user id? I don't mind losing my PGs and Recovery Plans but I can't be waiting on the dba because I'm on a tight schedule and the dba isnt local.

Any suggestions are appreciated!
