Hi, I was hoping someone could answer this?
I want to use SRM 5.8 in conjunction with EMC MirrorView for ABR. To see if this setup was "good", I had MirrorView replicate a single datastore which contained the vmdk files for 5 virtual desktops. In time, EMC Unisphere showed that the primary and secondary images were Active and Consistent, respectively.
Next, I setup the SRM piece and then ran a test. The test was good so I then ran a Clean Up. The vSphere Web Client shows that the Clean Up was successful. However, on the target vCenter server's inventory, I see my 5 virtual desktops listed there. I don't want to say that the listing of these 5 show up as "greyed out" but more transparent. The transparent icon next to each of the guests show up with a little yellow lightning bolt.
Is this normal? Should the clean up have removed these? I'm hesitant to just right-click and delete these desktops from the target vCenter. I get a warning that they're managed by SRM, but the Delete option is available to me. In past versions of SRM (back in the 4.0 days), I don't think I recall seeing these machines on the target vCenter after a test/clean up.
Both sites are running vCenter 5.5U2, ESXi 5.5U2, SRM 5.8.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
