the currently, my system have two site (DC,DR), the both sites configuration site recovery manager 5.5 use Array-Based Protection Groups with EMC storage
now, I need replace EMC storage to Pure storage at DC,DR
How to migrate virtual machine from EMC to Pure Storage?

vsphere replication and vm's
After redeployment of vsphere appliances on both site.
Any VM I try to protect failed to sync they are just hanging on not active status.
I have restarted the appliance few times and no joy still.

Cannot remove protection
Hello all,
unfortunately a VM was removed from Cluster before the protection of SRM was removed.
Now the VM has the status "Invalid: Protected VM deleted".
Any ideas or hints how this one can be removed?

Unable to setRecoverySettings over the SRM API
Hello all,
I am create script for automation of adding server into SRM with requested settings, like priority, postRecoverySteps and so on.
I am strugled in the last step to set the requested settings to the SRM plan over a method srmPlan.SetRecoverySettings(vm, settings) with the following error:

VM Recovery Options
Hi SRM experts.
I have a peculiar one.
The VM Recovery Options, IP Custimisation options aren't visible to configure anything. You can just see the text on the configuration page but that all you can see (and do).

Issues with some VMs in test recovery plan
Hi everyone,
I have a recovery plan with 5 protection groups and 170 virtual machines. When I did the test recovery plan there are 4-8 virtual machines that in the step of Create writable storage snapshot have the following error:
A general system error occurred: vDS host error: see faultCause An error occurred while communicating with the remote host. A change in the network configuration disconnected the host esx04_site2.torres.es from vCenter Server. The change has been rolled back.
Every test I do the virtual machines are different. (The errors are not the same virtual machine)
However, when I do the recovery plan of every protectiong group (5 en total) together work fine.
Any idea?

SRM vCenter connection
Hi all,
I have recently upgraded my vCenter and ESXi hosts from version 5.1 to 5.5. Upon accessing SRM I received a 503 error saying it was unable to connect to the Site Recovery Server.
Upon further investigation I have found that my SSL Certificate on the server has expired, and through some blog posts have found that running a modify on the SRM installation can resolve this issue. However running the installation I receive the attached error when trying to connect to vCenter. I have tried creating a new account locally on the vCenter server and giving it admin persmissions over vCenter however the issue remains.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Failed to validate Site Recovery Manager compatibility with vCenter Server - error during SRM 6 setup

We are attempting an in place upgrade of SRM 5.8.1 to 6.0. We run setup but it fails with the error "Failed to validate Site Recovery Manager compatibility with vCenter Server.
Has anyone solved this? Thanks!

Change Embedded Database "Hardcoded" DSN?
I believe there is an issue with the DSN SRM is using to connect to the embedded database. The problem is that when I do a modify on SRM install, the DSN is grayed out and I can't change it.
Does anyone know how to change this seemingly "hardcoded" DSN value?

SRM w/Array Based Replication VM LUN Placement
If you're using array based replication with SRM does that mean that all VM's you place on a LUN have to be part of a recovery plan?
Also, when you re-protect is the data still on the original LUN or does that get blown away (assuming nothing major happened to the SAN) and need to be completely replicated or is it still there and you push changes to it? Does that also mean you change the direction of the replication at the SAN level. Reprotect and make the original site the primary and change the replication back again?

SRM Authentication Issues
Hello everyone
I have completed an installation of SRM at two seperate sites and have managed to pair the two sites using the SSO Admin account. However, when I log in with my user account witch has admin rights at root level I get a connection error when accessing SRM in the webgui.
Next thing I tried was assigning the SRM Administrator role on the site wile logged in with the SSO admin account. Yet when logging back in with my user account which is now SRM admin on the site I get same permissions error.
Has anybody experience this and gotten around it?

Asymmetric hosts (2 host in protected site to 1 host at recovery site) configuration in SRM recovery.
Hi,
We are planning to configure a SRM recovery plan with by using 2 host at protected site and 1 host at recovery site.
I believe this type of configuration is a common scenario at many customer site. We should be allowed to
configure multiple host to single/few hosts at recovery site.
I wanted to check whether this type of configuration is valid or not? If yes, are there any documents
in SRM sites/ Administration guide which describes how to configure it?
Are there any special configuration steps needed to recover VM’s in non-uniform configurations
across protected and recovery sites.

Stale replication GID - page not found when trying to access through Managed Object Browser
Hi,
I'm having an issue setting up replication for a server which has previously been replicated. I'm getting an error:
"Unable to configure replication for virtual machine <server_name> because group <server_name> cannot be created. Another virtual machine <server_name> that has the same instance UUID '501b9832-bb79-d90e-7d32-f7ae5accefba' already exists on protection site <site>"
A google search led me to KB2065033 but I'm having issues getting the resolution to work. When I try to browse to:
https://IP_address_of_primary_VRM_server:8043/mob/?moid=GID-501b9832-bb79-d90e-7d32-f7ae5accefba&vmodl=1
I get a 'page not found' error.
If I remove everything after /mob/ it asks me for a username and password and I can log in but there's no detail and no way (that I know of) to browse to the relevant data.
Anybody got any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Hi to all,
have someone seen this error before (Google and VMware KB gives me nothing)?
I am upgrading working SRM 6.0.0-2700459 to VMware-srm-6.1.0-3037005 and in the upgrade process I get following error.
Same is with update to 6.1.1.
If you continue, upgrade process finishes OK, but in web client is shown that SRM doesnt talk with vCenter (6.0 U2 - 6.0.0-3634788).
